CAF Yellow Rose B-25J is an ADD-ON program that requires Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 to operate. The CD also has versions for the Combat Flight Simulator2 (CFS2) and older Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.
A joy stick and an audio card with speakers or headphones is recommended
The minimum system requirements for Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight are:
One of the following operating systems
Microsoft Windows 98
Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
Microsoft Windows Mellenium Edition (Me)
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP
Processor - 450 megahertz (Mhz) processor
Memory - 250 Megabytes (Mb) of RAM for Windows 2000 and Windows XP
- 128 Mb of RAM for Windows 98 and Windows Millenium Edition (Me)
Hard Disk Space - 1.8 gigabytes (Gb) of hard disk space
Video - 32Mb, 3D video card
Note: These are the "practical" minimum system requirements that a computer must have to run Flight Simulator 2004, with every setting turned to minimum. (This is slightly higher than Microsoft's own recommendations).
Microsoft FS2002 and Combat Flight Simulator 2 (CFS2) are slightly less demanding on PC system resources. The "Yellow Rose" package requires a higher than minimum system to run because of its complexity. Therefore you should be looking for a Processor faster than 1 Ghz (2+ Ghz recommended), more Video Memory (128 Mb recommended) and more on-board Random Access Memory (RAM) (512 Mb recommended), this will allow the 'Rose' to deliver the good performance you would expect. The 'Yellow Rose' has high definition graphics that are amongst the best in the industry and are hugely demanding on system resources. For this reason, contained within each version (FS2004, FS2002 and CFS2) there are three different variations of the aircraft available for selection. FULL, IFR and VFR. Only Windows XP can run the FULL version on FS2004, FS2002 and CFS. All of this information is in the documentation that comes with the package.
