| The CAF is a world-wide, all volunteer, non-profit and educational organization dedicated to the preservation, in flying condition, of the great warplanes which dominated the skies of WWII. Generally, between 14 and 20 of its aircraft are on display from the 160 plane, multinational collection at CAF International Headquarters in Midland, Texas . The displayed items change quarterly, so there is always someting new to see.The Yellow Rose Squadron of the CAF has been entrusted with the restoration, preservation, and operation of the B-25J Mitchell, "Yellow Rose." Purchased by CAF members Jack Skipper, Jack Jones, and Charles Becker for $12,500 in 1977, it was retired from it's civilian job of spreading Mirex insecticide on fire ants in Alabama. |
